Hello. I’m new in this forum. I have drawn my old Livid Code v2 midi controller out of the closet. I need to update firmware, encoder sensitivity and MIDI channel. I use Windows 10 so I can’t use the mac software shown in this thread. (i.e. I also have a Mac High Sierra, but will try Win 10 first).
The online editor that worked in 2020 doesn’t seem to work now in 2021. I have downloaded the Code Editor 2.09 by  Peter Nyboer, but haven’t tested it yet. I don’t know which firmware is on my Code2, and probably need a firmware update.

In case you’re interested in some tech nerdy stuff…
I intend to use it together with AKAI APC40II with Ableton Live 10, run on a windows 10  laptop. The APC40 will deal with clips and volume faders, and I need the Code2 encoders for the effects rack, similar setup on each Ableton audio channel.
Vertical row number 1 on the Code2 will control Ableton channel 1, encoder number 1 (top) controls reverb, encoder 2 delay, encoder 3 tremolo, encoder 4 (low) filter. Vertical row number 2 controls Ableton channel 2 and so on. Ableton Channel 1 is Kick drum, Ch 2 snare, Ch 3 Hihat, Ch 4 percussion, Ch 5 Bass, Ch 6 synth and so on.
When I try this setup there will be problems of MIDI merging/lack of separation, so I thought it would be wise to use the APC40 on MIDI Channel 1, and the Code2 on MIDI channel 2. I guess I need the Code editor to alter the default Code MIDI channel from 1 to 2. The rotating function on the Code encoders seem to have a sync/precision problem, and I have read that it’s possible to adjust the rotating sensitivity in the Code Editor. If this setup works I will have a more intuitive, user friendly man – machine interface, with focus on ears to hands, which is better than eyes to hands. Thanks! Greetings Aksel from Norway
