Phasing
I’ve finished initial versions of all the Python scripts for b996, and updated the repository with them. For those of you that want to check this out, you’ll want to download the github repository and place the folders from within the “Python Scripts” directory inside your copy of Live 9.12’s MIDI Remote Scripts folder. Some of the mod patches work with some of the scripts, but I’ve not had a chance to update everything yet…..that will be the next part of the process. In the meantime, I’d probably stay away from b996 unless you’ve spoken to me personally and I’ve given you the low-down. It will probably be another week before I get the rest of this stuff done.
I had some problems come up when porting the mappings for the Base script, just because the script is so convoluted at this point. In the interest of general forward progress with all the scripts, I’ve gotten side-tracked with rebaking that code…the plan is to have a Scale/DrumPad w/Sequencer available in modMode when a mod isn’t the selected device on the track. It might make it into b996, or it might be b997 before I get this done. Either way, that’s the hold-up right now.
Just a little longer now, it will all be worth it though 😉

Hi Amounra,
Is there any documentation about how the Aumtroll works with the CNTRL:R? I just want to know which button is doing what, so I can get familiar with it.

The AumTroll script is just a modification of the main CNTRLR script that I used to use for mods and my own designs. It’s superceded by the regular CNTRLR script in b996, which works as explained on the Livid Wiki except for the top four encoder buttons. From left to right, those buttons now perform the following functions:
A. Toggle modView.
B. Lock current modDevice as selected mod (prevents from navigating away from it while locked)
C. Toggle DeviceSelector.
D. Toggle UserMap.
I’m really sorry about the lack of docs right now, I’m scrambling to concrete all the changes. Almost there! I’m porting hex over to ALL the controllers right now, it will be the hardest one. After that it should be smooth sailing and I can finally get around to documentation.

So I will loose the Livid steppr’s when using the b996 aumtroll script?

When b996 is finished, you will be able to use all of my mods AND the stepprs/accent with any of the Livid control surfaces (or any controller supported by Monomodular, for that matter). At the moment, I’m not sure how far I’ve gotten making the translations for the stepprs, but as soon as I’m finished with hex (almost done with that, I got it working on Code last night), I’ll be moving on to the Livid Stepprs next.

Great , I can’t wait to see the results. I just found out that the stepprs are not really working properly with the remote script at the moment some lights don’t function stye way they should do, but I guess that was because of Ableton changing things with 9.1.2. I will dig a bit deeper into hex, because I am interested in using it on several instruments as mentioned in one of your old youtube vids.
Thanks for your quick replies and your great work.

Which version of the script/stepprs are you using? Are you using the ones from my repository or the the ones from Livid’s installs?
It’s very hard to keep all this stuff straight…..Abe’s keep breaking everything I make before I even get a chance to release it. Arrrggh.

l know it is a disaster, why can’t they just leave most stuff like it is and stop messing about? It’s probably to do with these stupid new Akai controllers. Ever since Akai became part of Inmusic they went downhill.
And I am using the Livid stepprs from the installer of the Livid website.
By the way if you need anyone to test anything, just let me know and I’ll run some tests for you, I have the CNTRL:R the Launchpad S, the original Launchpad, so will be able to do a variety of tests if needed. (I did the same for Darren from Isotonik Studios)

Hi Amounra,
Would it be possible to use the modification in the AumTroll script for the left and right faders and knobs to be mapped as in the Livid CNTRL:R script?
Also I have three AumTroll scripts in the monomodular folder, it seems that the AumTroll G is the most recent one and also looks different compared to the other ones (other led colours). I would like to use that one, but I have realized that there is a play button, but no stop button is that correct? Also it is not possible to use the Livid Stepprs with the AumTroll script?
Looking forward to your reply and hopefully this modification is possible.
