    Hello,

First post here, I found this forum by chance as i was looking for infos about livid. Glad there is still a small community around the Livid hardware !

It’s release day of Live 11 today and as usual the script for our beloved hardware will probably stop working. I tried the DS1 script on the beta of live 11 and never managed to make it work so i assume it needs to be updated.
Does anybody here know if there is any plan of an updated version of the scripts ? ( for DS1 in my case but it will probably be the same for the other livid controllers )

I don’t have any skills to do such a work ( wish i had ) so i’m looking around to find other DS1 users that know a bit about that.

    Cheers,
    K

I just pushed new versions of the scripts for Live11 to m4m8 repository. Let me know if you find issues, I haven’t tested them thoroughly yet. They’re compiling though, and I did some rudimentary testing when the Live11 beta switched over to using Python3. Hopefully things work well, but I’ll be unavailable for the next week or so, so unfortunately probably can’t do much until after that as far as fixing things.

    Cheers :)

Hey thanks for that ! That was quick !

It’s working, it’s recognise by live and the functions work well but there seems to be a bug. I don’t know if it comes from the script itself but as soon as I select it in live’s menu, the midi out indicator of Live start going crazy and certain leds on the DS1 start flashing. Every functions are working properly but some leds are flashing ( play, rec, arm button etc).

When I monitor the midi out with midi monitor I can see that live is sending a stream of data on certain cc ( probably corresponding to the Led input )

    Any idea ?

Thanks a lot for your work !

The same problem I have with the script for Livid Base II… I hope it is possible to fix.

Just pushed a new commit, it should fix the flashing problem in most (if not all) controllers.

Hey, thanks a lot ! That does work.

I still have Live sending a steady stream on CC21 wich correspond to the bottom center button of the the DS1 panel control, so this yellow Led flashes steadily. I don’t know if it’s normal but all the other weird flashing are gone.

    Thanks a lot !

Thanks for the heads up..I won’t be able to check until I get back but I’ll try to make it a priority when I do. I’d appreciate knowing about any other weirdness you encounter as well, I haven’t specifically tested the livid scripts much at all, instead only the aumhaa framework in conjunction with other projects im working on currently. Theres a good chance some problems slipped through the cracks in the same way that the blinking issue did. I’ll be back on the 2nd, if you don’t hear from me soon after that then drop me another message please :)

Hi, thanks for adding me to the group! I had come here to reply to @K_M comment:

    > ‘I still have a steady stream on CC21’, as I have a steady stream of value jumps emitting directly from my DS1 on various CC’s. However, this morning things have gone from bad to worse as my ds1 won’t power up. I’ve tried reinstalling 1.32 via Livid_Firmware_Update-1.17, and I’m continually getting this message ‘device not found, is it in bootloader mode?’ the device clearly seems to be in bootloader mode, anybody got any ideas/suggestions or is it time to ditch the ds1 for a new controller?

definitely sounds like a hardware malfunction to me….unfortunately, its probably the one Livid controller I’ve never had out of its casing. I’m afraid I can’t be of much help on this one :(

Hi amounra, thanks for the reply. I guessed as much, the ds1 served me well. I ordered a faderfox PC12 as a replacement that arrived this morning, after a couple of hours of use there’s no going back, very pleased with it!!
