I don’t have v1.27, the most current I can find is 1.23. Does anyone else have this?

    Here’s a link to 1.23, I haven’t tested it though….I’ll keep looking, maybe I have a copy hiding somewhere that I can’t find at the moment….

    [http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/CNTRLR/cntrlr_123_BL_debounce.hex.zip](http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/CNTRLR/cntrlr_123_BL_debounce.hex.ziphttp://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/CNTRLR/cntrlr_123_BL_debounce.hex.zip”)

What’s the difference between 1.27 and 1.23? Just curious, I wasn’t tuned in when that got released.

Wow! That’s made my day, thanks for sharing :)

    How does that thing travel??

I think I can dig up….see if this works:

Awesome! No real changes to framework in the last couple of bug fix release versions (10.1.13-10.1.15) so I’d assume nothing should be broken, but thanks for the feedback!

Hey, thanks for that link. I’d rescued the wiki from WaybackMachine at some point, but I never dreamed that these links would be archived as well. Awesome!

Also, thanks for the donation! Definitely put a spring in my step the entire day :)

    > I for some reason thought id get an email when there was a response but I was mistaken.

I think they are disabled by default, but you can change them under your profile. I wonder if I should change the default for all users? I’ll do a bit of research. If you happen to change them or see that they were already set to notify you about new posts and you didn’t get notified, please let me know!

Tell me about it….I put a ton of work and love into all the stuff I made, and it makes it a bit harder to keep it alive now that everyone has gone walkies lol. Whatever, I’m not planning on going anywhere until every piece of Livid gear is in the bin. I guess I’m a “Livid Conservationist”.

    Thanks again :)

    Hi there,

    Try this one:

    [aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Base/basev2_244_BL.hex](http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Base/basev2_244_BL.hex “aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Base/basev2_244_BL.hex”)

    Cheers :)

    Here’s the firmware tool:

    [aumhaa.com/livid_archive/FirmwareUpdater/Livid_Firmware_Update_117_osx.zip](http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/FirmwareUpdater/Livid_Firmware_Update_117_osx.zip “aumhaa.com/livid_archive/FirmwareUpdater/Livid_Firmware_Update_117_osx.zip”)

I have a working copy of the Code editor on my mac, it isn’t the same version as the one I sent (that one will not work on my mac either). If you can’t get the online editor to work after the firmware update, hit me again and I’ll try to figure out where the installed, working one came from.

The code_222_BL.hex is the firmware file. I think that firmware updates were handled by the editor….am I mistaken?

Ahhh, my bad. Yes, there is a firmware updater, gimme a few and I’ll post it as well.

Ahhh, yeah you’re probably right….its probably because the firmware is so old (hopefully, anyway). Interested to hear how it turns out, and always glad to help :) I didn’t try opening the editor, so not sure how that will go….you may need an older than current operating system for it to work right.

    Try these:

    [aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/Code_Editor_V2_208-OSX.dmg](http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/Code_Editor_V2_208-OSX.dmg “aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/Code_Editor_V2_208-OSX.dmg”)

    [aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/code_222_BL.hex](http://www.aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/code_222_BL.hex “aumhaa.com/livid_archive/Code/code_222_BL.hex”)

I think you may have better luck with the link I sent earlier for the online editor than you will with application version, but please let us know either way!

I probably have some firmwares for it. I’ll have a look to see…..I still use my Code a lot, so I should be able to help.

I bet you’re using the wrong link for the online editor. There are a couple that are out there, and I had the same problem when I tried several months ago, but then I found the correct one:

Let me know if you still can’t get the editor to work, and I’ll have a look to see if I have any of the older Max-based editors for it.

Cool, let me know if you need help as I should be around for a minute. Here’s the wiki page with a description of how the script works, but it hasn’t been updated in years….let me know if you find anything that’s not “right”.

Livid never commissioned me to do a Code script, I did it on my own because I like the controller so much (I have a few of them lol). The script you’re looking for is Codec, and it’s in the vanilla MIDI Remote Scripts folder ;)

Hey Spaker, So are you saying you have a bunch of parts, but not the Brain to use them with? That’s a bummer, I expect they’re not too easy to find any more. But the Brain Jr’s are great, and really easy to use IMHO. I could probably help to some extent, I built my current USB pedal setup with one of those at its core.

I wish I could say that Livid was making a comeback….maybe they will someday, who knows? I heard some optimistic things about something new happening with the builder stuff even as recently as last year, but I’m now afraid the people involved have given up. I don’t know the details about why, but it seems obvious (with all their internet property shutting down, etc) that they’ve given up the ghost.

That said, one of the best things I perceived about Livid when I worked with them (and the thing that transcended their products) was the enthusiastic and helpful community of people that used the stuff they made. I was really bummed when I saw that the Livid forums had been frozen, as there are still a lot of people (like you) that are looking for answers. I have no idea why that happened, but the most I can do is try to encourage people to come over to this spot and try to recreate the same sort of vibe.

I have a couple of different versions of Brain/BrainJr editors. What platform are you using, Windows or MacOS?
